Frequently asked questions
Is my HTML uploaded?
No. The HTML is rendered and turned into an image in your browser, and external resources are blocked by default. The page does download the code needed to run the tool. If you turn on remote resources, your browser may contact the external sites your HTML refers to, so only do that for HTML you trust.
Why are images, fonts or styles from other websites missing in the export?
They are blocked by default, so pasted HTML cannot make your browser contact other sites. You can turn on "Remote resources" to see them in the preview, but an exported image is drawn from your document alone, and this tool does not fetch or proxy other websites. Use data: URLs and inline CSS for anything that must appear.
Does JavaScript run?
No. Scripts are removed and the preview is sandboxed, so use HTML and CSS only.
Is the viewport device emulation?
No. It is only the width and height of the page your HTML is laid out in. A real phone or tablet can look different.
Is my image transparent?
PNG and WebP keep transparency where the page has no background. JPEG has no transparency, so the background is white.
